Donald Joe Disney

Donald Joe Disney of Chandler, Oklahoma, passed away on February 9, 2026. He was born on May 19, 1953, to Bill Disney and Shirley (Riggs) Disney.

Don graduated from Perkins-Tryon High School in 1971 and later attended Oklahoma State Tech in Okmulgee, OK, for heating and air conditioning. In 1972, he married Carol Smith, and in 1973, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy, serving for three years.

He is preceded in death by his father, Bill Disney; his mother, Shirley Riggs Ross; and his brother, Richard Wayne (Rick) Disney.

He is survived by his wife, Vickie Disney; great-grandson, Kaydence, of the home; his son, Bryan Disney; his daughter, Cassy Brown (Steve); and Vickie's children: Heather Tippit, Tanya Wiggs, Rachelle Bannister, and Eric Bannister. He also leaves behind his stepmother, Ruby Disney; four brothers: Walt Disney (Leigh), Billy Disney (Kathy), Keith Disney (Teri), Michael Ross; and three sisters: Linda Bowyer (Jack), Sharon Kinzie (David), and Sheila Ross, along with numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Don will be remembered for his love of family and the joy he brought to those around him. He woke up every day with optimism; he just knew it was going to be his lucky day. No matter how tough today was, tomorrow would be his lucky day. Don’s wishes were to be cremated and for his family and friends to remember all of the shared love and memories. He has joined his Heavenly family to wait for Christ’s return when we will all be reunited together.
